Mah button done for the tutorial homework. Normally, I avoid gradients but I can definitely see how it can be utilized in web design. Guess some redesigning of my site has to be done now…

The presentation was fairly interesting, though it wasn’t anything I haven’t been told before. The benefit of using social networking sites as a way to advertise yourself is a very good idea but personally, I like to keep it old school with business cards and connections of people I meet in real life. It would be ideal if everyone used the social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and any form of blog site professionally rather than some sort of popularity contest because I would be more willing to create an account. I chose to delete (yes, delete, not deactivate) last year because I couldn’t stand the pointless BS that people would constantly post. It angered me to log in to immediately see it all at the homepage and it felt like it was suffocating me after awhile. If this wasn’t an issue I had to deal with, I’d utilize a FB profile to its fullest. Now I am left with a LinkedIn profile (a quite bare one, unfortunately), which I like a thousand times better due to the professional environment. All in all, he felt like a social networking site promoter with a fancy Powerpoint trying to sell these websites to me. They are definitely helpful tools you can use to build yourself but I enjoy the challenge of face to face interaction. It’s a more satisfying accomplishment in the end.
This skin I chose isn’t set in Helvetica! Ahhhh! And I’ve already settle on it. Boo.
This is my first time on a blogging site so please bear with me as I learn how to operate it. Rawr!!!
